If your pet is displaying vomiting and diarrhea, it would be wise to stop it. Now!
FASTING TIME. A 24 hour quick/fast is the most significant thing you can do to permit your pet’s aggravated stomach to mend. Permit access to controlled measures of water, however no food. Following 24 hours offer tasteless food, for example, plain cooked white rice; give identical measures of rice as you do normally with a pooch or feline food. Following 48 hours blend their regular diet in with rice and don’t completely go to ordinary food until the following 72 hours.
A CUP OF TEA. Peppermint Tea is an old cure utilized for upset stomachs in individuals. Mix up a robust cup of tea, however, permit it to cool before offering it.
Nux vomica is an effective homeopathic remedy for vomiting for pets.
FIRM IT WITH FIBER. Dietary fibre absorbs water in the intestine, which helps to decrease diarrhea. Ground flax is an excellent source for dogs (1tsp/cup of dog food). Canned pumpkin is a unique way to improve your cat (1tsp a day).
They restore the natural bacteria in the intestine that helps their immune system. The best supplement/bacteria is Lactobacillus-acidophilus.
Pepto Bismol can be useful for dogs. Imodium (loperamide) is the only safe over-the-counter anti-diarrhea for pooches and felines.
We have seen too many cases of what is called in the vet world “garbage gut” become BIG problems.
If the pet owners were knowledgeable of just a couple of these home remedies before their pet became so dehydrated, causing them to be hospitalized.
Treating early often means preventing these BIG problems.
